There is a great need for improved digital connectivity for Plymouth and the South West. Together with Plymouth City Council and BT, Devon Chamber is working in partnership to achieve this goal.
The Digital Plymouth project group was set up to implement the plans to improve connectivity. Chaired by Peter Hartland, Chief Exec of Devon Chamber, it has so far delivered high speed broadband coverage for Plymouth and is now working on improving accessibility to this technology through the GetIT together project.
Digital Plymouth continues to lobby for greater digital opportunities for the city and is now in the process of procuring free WiFi for the City Centre and Waterfront areas.
