What We Do / Lobbying

Lobbying

Devon Chamber works hard on behalf of its members and the wider business community to improve the business environment for the county's economy.

To achieve this the Chamber puts forward views about local business issues in a concerted and evidence-based way at both a local and national level to local and central government.

To view detail of the current issues the Chamber is working on please visit our news section. If you would like to make a comment or get involved in the Chamber’s policy development please contact George Cowcher.

The Chamber is currently working with partners across region to address many issues including:

  • Connectivity and transport issues
  • High speed broadband access (Digital Plymouth)
  • Addressing business rates to support businesses alongside British Chambers of Commerce

Keep up to date with our progress in lobbying for changes to benefit the local business community here.
