The 1000 Club aims to recruit 1000 companies in the Plymouth area to commit to support young people into employment, whether through work experience, apprenticeships, graduate internships or employment.
The initiative is led by Plymouth City Council’s Employment Sub Group, which reports to the Plymouth Growth Board. Plymouth Chamber is a member of this sub group, along with a number of other public and private sector organisations.
Experience in the world of work is key to developing well rounded young people that are ready to become effective employees and meet the expectations of employers. This will ensure they have the characteristics and skills that employers need and are able to support businesses in their growth and the growth of the local economy.
Visit the 1000 club website for more information and news on the 1000 Club.
